Independence Cooking

Join The Collaborative Community Mission as it continues with Independence Cooking Connection Northtowns. We are beyond excited to be working with Terra House again this year. This cooking class will be geared to help individuals with disabilities gain various skills within a kitchen. This class will focus on: basic kitchen skills, healthy choices, kitchen safety and food in relation to health. We will be making Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque Soup, as an example of an easy independent meal to make. Recipes will change with each class to come. Class requirements/information - Saturday - January 20th, 9:30 - 11 AM.  Location: Terra House 25 Buffalo Street Akron, NY 14001 Ages: 10-19.  Class registrant required to have support staff/guardian present if individual needs 1:1 supports. Please let us know if you need assistance with this. Cost is $10 per registrant. Can be paid via: Venmo - @Collaborative-Community Paypal - collabcomm.mission@gmail.com prior to class, or cash the day of. This class is self direction budget eligible.
